Day 2

Rosendal is an ideal base for exploring a dramatic and beautiful landscape studded with fjords, mountains, lakes, rivers and waterfalls. You can also relish the local cuisine, which has a strong focus on game and seafood, as well as mutton dishes like smoked ribs and lamb’s head.

You can visit the Barony: https://www.baroniet.no/en/

The Folgefonna National Park, a glacial area covering more than 200 square kilometers and almost 400 meters at its thickest, is also nearby. From the summit of the glacier the spectacular view spans Hardangervidda plateau to the east, the North Sea to the west and the Rosendal Alps to the south. Wild reindeer herds are a common sight in the surrounding mountains and on the Hardangervidda.

A bus will take you to Odda where you van join our guides on a fantastic walk in the "Fairy Tale"- wood. The tour starts on Rogdo, 260m above sea, with a beautiful view of the fjord. Local tapas-lunch with locally made applejuice.. We will arrange some games; throw axes and shooting with bow and arrow. You can even swim in the local "Youth-source", if you feel like it. The tour ends in the historical site Aga and a local guide follows you all the way. This is not included and must be prebooked.

You can also walk around and get to know Odda: https://en.hardangerfjord.com/odda/ or the Aga-Museum: https://agatunet.no/en/

The ships will meet you in Odda and we prepare a special meal from the local cuisine in the evening!

Arrival Day

The final leg of the voyage takes us to Bergen for a half-day in Norway’s “second city”. An outpost on the west coast, Bergen is known for its history of international trade and ability to withstand one of the wettest climates in Europe. Surrounded by islands and mountains, Bergen is a World Heritage site, an international hub for aquaculture, shipping, the offshore industry and subsea technology, in addition to being Norway’s busiest port.

And why not arrive a day before departure, to explore the cosmopolitan oil capital of Stavanger, with its beautiful fjords, mountains, and long, white beaches, not to mention Norway’s best surfing conditions along the beaches at Jæren.
