Måløy – Ålesund

Join this trip to experience a coastal cruise that includes a stopover in Hjørungfjord with its spectacular snow topped mountains and culminates in the Art Nouveau town of Ålesund. Arrive a day early to explore the coastal town of Måløy.

Departure Day

After departure, you can settle into the unique rhythm of life at sea with your co-sailor colleagues, before we drop anchor at Hjørungfjord.

And why not arrive a day before departure to explore the peaceful town of Måløy on the island of Vågsøy. Norway’s most important fishing port, Måløy is surrounded by lighthouses, has a beautiful silver sand beach and is close to the famous Kannesteinen rock, molded by the sea into a spectacular mushroom-like shape.

Day 2

Surrounded by a breathtaking Alpine landscape of sharp mountain peaks and glaciers, this magnificent fjord is an ideal base for hiking in the Sunnmøre Alps, which soar up to 5,000 feet above sea level. If the weather is nice, we will make a stop at Skagenflå-Holmlong. It is a hike that takes about 4-6 hours.

Skagenflå is a remote mountain farm overlooking The Seven Sisters Waterfall in the UNESCO-listed Geirangerfjord.

Arrival Day

The final leg of the voyage takes us to Ålesund, “adventure capital of the fjords”. This coastal pearl located on a cluster of islands is famed for its Art Nouveau architecture resplendent with turrets, spires and beautiful ornamentation. It is also an excellent starting point for excursions to some of Norway’s most spectacular sights.
