Bodø – Harstad

Join this trip to experience a coastal cruise that includes a stopover at the enchanting Trollfjord and culminates in Harstad, gateway to Vesterålen and Lofoten. Arrive a day early to explore the gateway city to the true north, Bodø.

Departure Day

This stage takes you from the Arctic city of Bodø northward to Harstad on the tip of Norway’s largest island, Hinnøya, the gateway to Lofoten and the Vesteraalen archipelago.

After departure, you can settle into the unique rhythm of life at sea with your co-sailor colleagues, before getting the unforgettable experience of being aboard a tall ship in full sail as we compete in a short regatta with our sister ships.

And why not arrive a day before departure to explore Bodø, gateway to Norway’s true north and home to the world’s strongest maelstrom Saltstraumen. A perfect location for visiting the majestic Lofoten Islands, Bodø is also close to some of Norway’s most spectacular sights, such as the famous mountain of Torghatten with its central “peephole”.

Day 2

Its mouth so narrow that cruise ships barely slip through, Trollfjord is surrounded by steep mountains towering above 3,000 feet. Wildlife lovers come here to spot dolphins, whales and the many sea eagles soaring overhead.

Arrival Day

From Trollfjord we weave through the world’s northernmost inhabited archipelago of Vesteraalen to end our voyage at Harstad. Known as the cultural capital of Northern Norway and a coastal gourmet city, Harstad bustles with restaurants, festivals and cultural events, especially during the summer when everything is fuelled by the midnight sun.
