After departure, you can settle into the unique rhythm of life at sea with your co-sailor colleagues, before we drop anchor close to the glacial beauty of Svartisen.

And why not arrive a day before departure to explore the picturesque fishing village of Reine on the island of Moskenesøya in the Lofoten archipelago. Situated on the scenic route across Lofoten and surrounded by a breathtaking backdrop of granite peaks, Reine is reputed to be the most beautiful village in Norway.

Day 2

Norway’s second largest glacial mass has 60 “ice tongues” and covers 370 square kilometers. You can explore Svartisen close-up by biking and hiking and even take a blue-ice trek on the glacier itself and through its mazes.

Arrival Day

The voyage ends at the coastal town of Sandnessjøen on the island of Alsta, just west of the imposing Seven Sisters mountain range. This majestic chain of craggy peaks rising to 1,000 metres above the shoreline has been the regular hiking ground of Her Majesty Queen Sonja of Norway. Close to Sandnessjøen, you’ll find a Viking chieftain’s longhouse with its own banqueting hall where you can taste Viking food.
